The Greater Miami Symphonic Band invites you to “LONGFIELD’S FAREWELL CONCERT” on  Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 6PM at MAURICE GUSMAN CONCERT HALL, located on the campus of the University of Miami, at 1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL. Valet parking and PayByPhone parking are available.  

After nearly three decades of extraordinary artistry and dedication, the Greater Miami Symphonic Band bids a heartfelt farewell to our beloved Music Director and composer, Robert Longfield. This special concert will honor his legacy with an evening of music that reflects his passion, creativity, and deep connection to our ensemble and community.

The program will feature a selection of Robert’s own compositions and arrangements, alongside works that have been audience favorites throughout his tenure. From sweeping symphonic moments to intimate, lyrical passages, the music will tell the story of a career dedicated to excellence, education, and the joy of making music together.
